25-year old man tortured, stabbed and thrown into a river alive for stealing mobile phone

Amitabh Adiwasi, 25 was severely tortured before the murder after it was alleged that he stole a mobile phone.

He was stripped naked at a farmhouse, they threw cold water at him, beat him up with sleepers and inserted a radish in his private parts.

After he became unconscious, they took him on a bike to the dam, stabbed him on stomach and knees, tied a stone of 20 km so that body could not come out and later dumped the body into the water.

The body came on water surface after a few days as the weight of stone was less than the body.

The victim was murdered for stealing the mobile phone of one of the accused, police said.

All accused and dead man were drunk at the time of incident.

The 5 accused persons would appear in a court on Thursday.
