Young woman on the phone with dad, killed by stray bullet
News reports reveals that a 25-yr-old woman has been killed by a stray bullet while on the phone with her dad, in Chicago.
The young woman identified as Aaren O'Connor had been hit by a stray bullet, dying two days later in the hospital she had been rushed to.
The reports reveal that O'Connor had just returned home from work on that fateful evening, and had been sitting in her car outside of her apartment, on the phone with her father when the bullet had hit her.
The shots had been fired during a fight taking place outside of her car, with one of the bullets hitting her in the back of her head.
Her father, Mr O'Connor, had said that his daughter had repeatedly complained, saying 'my head hurts' then quickly became incoherent during their conversation.
Sadly, neither the victim nor the her father had realised that she had been hit in the head by a bullet.
Speaking on the sad incident, Mr O'Connor had revealed saying:
"IÂ didn't realize that I was having the last conversation with my daughter. Every few moments she said my head hurts.
"When she hung up the phone, I called her boyfriend , he then got in touch with her roommate who found her unconscious outside'.
"I would have loved to have told her that I loved her just one more time and was proud of her, she was an amazing girl".
Mr O'Connor has reportedly sent a message across to the leaders and people of the City of Chicago asking that they address gun violence in the city, which is quickly spiralling out of control.
Miss O'Connor's coworkers have also set up a GoFundMe page in memory of her.
May her soul rest in peace.
