Zoo celebrates panda's Sweet 16 by making him a special cake
Symbio Wildlife Park celebrated Chori the red panda's birthday with a Sweet 16 party including a custom made cake.
"Chori, the red panda, turned sweet 16 today, and to celebrate the magic milestone in every girls life," the zoo wrote on Facebook,
"Zoo keeper Ash Clarke made a delicious cake consisting of all her favorite fruit and decorated with the freshest of bamboo shoots."
Chori first arrived at Symbio Wildlife Park in 2010 and at 16 has nearly doubled the average lifespan of red pandas which typically only live for eight years. UPI News reported.
Clarke told 9 News Australia that Chori is a star at the zoo and embraces the distinction.
"[She's] always spending a good five to ten minutes grooming herself before coming down the tree, even for a cake as delicious looking at this!" she said.
