The heart-rending photo of a new born baby dumped in a canal in Ado Ekiti has brought tears to the eyes of many.

The photo shows the bloated, white body of the baby lying beside a bag of trash with people gathered around the top of the canal.
This is one out of a dozen cases of babies being dumped on a daily basis.
