The Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday ordered the remand of an internet fraudster, Aliyu Yahaya in Kuje Prisons, pending the review of the facts of his case.

Justice B.O. Quadri gave the order after Yahaya pleaded guilty to a count charge bordering on cybercrime.
According to the charge, Yahaya knowingly transmitted an indecent message through a phone to a woman with intent to cause violence and bodily harm.
The Prosecuting Counsel, Mrs Saidat Musa, told court that the offence contravened Section 24 (1) (a&b) of the Cyber Crime Law.
Musa asked the court for an adjournment to review the facts of the case since Yahaya pleaded guilty to the offence.

Counsel to Yahaya, Mr Humphrey Onyeuwa did not object to the application.
Quadri adjourned the matter till April 27 for review of the facts of the case.
