Love Island is finally coming to Nigeria! Here’s how to apply before the November 14 deadline
Love Island Nigeria Season 1 applications are open.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Applications close November 14, 2026.
Have you ever watched Love Island and thought you could handle living in a villa with strangers, finding love on camera and having thousands of people follow your romantic decisions?
Well, you might finally get the chance to put that confidence to the test.
Applications for the first season of Love Island Nigeria are officially open; single Nigerians can now audition for the reality dating show.
For anyone unfamiliar with the format, Love Island brings a group of single men and women, known as Islanders, together in a villa to form romantic connections.
They get to know one another through dates, conversations and challenges, but finding a partner is only part of the experience.
Contestants must also navigate recouplings, unexpected arrivals, jealousy and eliminations. Those who fail to find or maintain a connection risk being dumped from the villa.
The show melds romance, friendship, competition and drama, with viewers following the Islanders' relationships and deciding contestants’ fate through audience participation, depending on the show's voting format.
If you think your personality, dating experiences and confidence could make you a memorable Islander, this might be your opportunity. However, applications close on November 14, 2026, so here is a practical guide to getting yours submitted.
How to apply for Love Island Nigeria 2026
The application is online, and the official casting portal says it takes only a few minutes to complete. Here is how to get started.
1. Visit the official application website
Go to www.loveislandnigeria.com/apply.
You should see the Love Island Nigeria Season 1 open casting page, with the heading asking whether you have what it takes to survive the villa.
Click the application option and begin the process.
2. Fill in your personal information
The first stage is titled 'Who Are You?' You will need to provide self-identifiers like:
First and last name.
Email address.
Phone number.
Age.
Gender.
City of residence.
Occupation.
Use accurate information, particularly your contact details, so the casting team can reach you if your application progresses.
3. Create an interesting tagline
There is an optional tagline section with a maximum of 200 characters.
This is your opportunity to introduce yourself with a memorable one-liner. Think about what makes you different, your personality or your approach to dating.
Avoid generic descriptions. Give the casting team something that makes them curious about you. Remember, drama is the spice of life.

4. Select your relationship status
The form asks what you are looking for and provides a profile-status option that will appear on your Islander profile.
Choose the option that honestly reflects your current relationship situation.
5. Write an interesting personal introduction
Under 'Your Story', you will find an 'About You' section with a 500-character limit.
Use this space to explain who you are, what you enjoy, your personality and what makes you an interesting potential contestant.
Be authentic rather than trying to create a personality you think the producers want to see.
6. Add optional extras
The application also allows you to include fun facts and social media links.
These sections are optional, but they offer another opportunity to show the casting team your personality. Add interesting facts that reveal something memorable about you and provide links to your actual social media accounts.
7. Complete the remaining application stages
The portal indicates that the application has four steps: Personal info, photos, videos and confirmation. After completing the first section, click 'Continue' and follow the additional instructions.
