Man arraigned at court for allegedly stealing tithes
The suspect pleaded not guilty to the charge of theft leveled against him.
According to reports, the suspect committed the crime at the end of church service on Sunday, August 14, 2016.

A man named  Elochukwu Nnoruga, has been arraigned at the Tinubu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, on suspicion of stealing church tithes amounting to N214,000.

Nnoruga committed the crime on Sunday, August 14, 2016, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Idumaigbo, Lagos.
According to Ben Ekundayo, the prosecutor on the case, the suspect is facing a one-count charge of theft for his actions, which contravenes against Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
He reportedly engaged in the act after the church service conducted at the place of worship.

The suspect denied any involvement in the alleged crime, after pleading not guilty to the charge.
Mr Ade Adefulire, the court magistrate, adjourned the case till August 23, 2016, for further hearing on the matter.
