Man gets 1-yr jail term for killing 9 ducklings

Jason Scott Falbo II, 24, from Florida has been sentenced to a year in prison for purposely running over nine ducklings using a ride-on lawn mower.

Boyd Jentzsch who lives in Wellington was feeding a mother duck and her 11 ducklings with his family. Falbo who was mowing a lawn nearby move towards the duck and duckling, and killed some of the ducklings.

After his evil act, Falbo smiled, reversed and killed more of the little birds. “They were in my path, so I just kept mowing,” Falbo told the police.

Luckily the mother of the ducklings escaped unharmed with four of her ducklings. Two later drowned from injuries.

Falbo has a troubled past. On the same day he plead guilty to a charge of domestic battery against his girlfriend. He received three years probation, but will spend one year in jail.

Jason Scott Falbo II has been banned from owning pets and staying with people who own animals.
