Burger King Nigeria serves up breakfast the right way with its all for love campaign
In line with this, Burger King partnered with the BREAKFAST STORIES Twitter Space, hosted by Motunrayo Olajubu (@rayo_ola) and Oludairo Omokorede (skeletonsxx) on Saturday 12th February 2022, where Nigerians shared their breakfast stories for a chance to win free breakfast from Burger King for a week. The conversation also took place on Burger King Nigeria’s official Instagram account.
Being served breakfast is a new age Nigerian slang equated to heartbreak. Nigerians took to social media to share their sincere, funny and unbelievable breakfast stories. From being ditched at the mall to finding wedding engagement pictures online, the breakfast stories were more than engaging with the online Twitter Space lasting for hours, as people had more than enough stories to share. With over 1300 listeners across Nigeria and the #BreakfaststoriesxBurgerKingNGA hitting the trends table, it’s safe to say that this was one for the books.
The season of Valentine has always been synonymous with couples who are in love, sharing their happy moments and showcasing love for each other, however Burger King Nigeria decided to be more inclusive and give people who may have received the less romantic side of love a platform to share their stories and offer them something comforting in return, letting them know that sometimes choose burger over love.
