Popular comedian seeks government support for the industry

One of Nigeria's popular comedian, Buchi, has urged government at all levels to support the comedy industry through annual budgetary grants to the sector. News 24 reported.

The entertainer revealed in an interview that government support and monetary assistance would provide an opportunity for upcoming and established entertainers to thrive and be successful.

While commending well-established comedians for supporting their budding colleagues, Buchi added that the comedy industry is still very competitive for new acts.
