Bill Cosby has stepped down as member of the Board of Trustees at the Temple University - where he attended school in the '60s - following his recent series of sexual assault allegations from more than a dozen women.
The ace comedian said, "I have always been proud of the university and its students. As a result, I have tendered my resignation..."
Back in 2006, a sexual assault case he settled was filed by a Temple University employee, TMZ reports.Andrea Constand, who worked for the women's basketball team at the university, filed suit against Cosby in 2004, claiming Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her. She filed a lawsuit and Cosby settled in 2006.Its reported that Cosby and his wife have donated money to Temple and a scholarship was created in their name.
Even though Cosby is yet to publically address the serial rape accusations, he's said to consider all of them 'unfair' and celebrity-targetted. The comedian has however seen most of his 'The Bill Cosby Show' cancelled in several states and on some television networks
