'Bachelor' Alum Jade Roper Tolbert's Birth Story Is Straight-Up Wild
Fans of Bachelor stars Jade Roper Tolbert and Tanner Tolbert were thrilled when news broke theyd just had a baby boy (their second child, after daughter Emerson). But on Tuesday, July 30, Jade shared on Instagram that her labor was anything but normal.
"I accidentally gave birth at home last night, in our master closet," Jade captioned a shot of herself cradling her baby boy in said closet, while surrounded by medics, firefighters, and family. "Ive been still processing the shock of this all, as this was not all at what I had planned, but I am so so thankful for each person who helped bring our son into the world safely."
Jade promised to share the full story "soon," but basically explained that "long story short, my waters broke and 75 minutes later I gave birth to our healthy baby boy while clutching a bench in our closet."
I accidentally gave birth at home last night, in our master closet. Ive been still processing the shock of this all, as this was not all at what I had planned, but I am so so thankful for each person who helped bring our son into the world safely. Ill share my whole birth story soon, but long story short, my waters broke and 75 minutes later I gave birth to our healthy baby boy while clutching a bench in our closet. It was one of the scariest moments of my life because I felt so out of control, but Tanner, Tanners mom, my mom and the medics and firefighters kept me going when I felt like the world was caving in on me and my unborn baby. I was going to share the happy, cute Instagrammable pics first, but this felt right to me. So incredibly grateful for the support system we had and for this beautiful boy I get to hold in my arms. "It was one of the scariest moments of my life because I felt so out of control, but Tanner, Tanners mom, my mom and the medics and firefighters kept me going when I felt like the world was caving in on me and my unborn baby," she continued.
Jade added that she'd originally planned on sharing the "happy, cute Instagrammable pics first, but this felt right to me."
The new mom of two ended on this note: "So incredibly grateful for the support system we had and for this beautiful boy I get to hold in my arms."
Speaking of that support system, it came out in droves, filling Jade's comments section with kind messages from fellow Bachelor stars. "Wow. I literally cant stop staring at this and feeling SO many things," wrote Juelia Kinney. "So impressed by you and so happy you have so many people around you that love and support you. The number one thing that I see when I look at this photo though, is the look on your face- it shows how much you truly love that baby boy and how much you care that he is safe. Youre an amazing mom and hes lucky to have you."
"Congratulations! You are amazing and strong and what a story this will be for little guys whole life," wrote Evan Bass (the brother of Juelia's fianc, Aaron ). "This is unreal. Congratulations!!!!!!!" said Jillian Harris.

And the supportive comments just kept coming. "Oh my gosh. So glad you and your little baby are safe!!!!: said Ali Fedotowsky. Vanessa Grimaldi even called Jade a "superhero."
Even non-Bachelor stars weighed in. "Oh my goodness," wrote Jessica Alba, later adding "incredible" in another comment. Meanwhile, Jana Kramer said, "Oh my god!!!!!!!!!! Congrats babe!!!!!"
While Jade's birth story is beyond normal, it's clear she has a solid crew of people cheering her on.
