This is the question posed to every individual in the world as South Africa and the Mandela Family fight for an international day for the world’s greatest ruler. Does he deserve it?
Obviously we all would agree that Nelson Mandela has become more than an African president or even an African. He represents something that most of our leaders haven’t dreamed of practicing and that’s true democracy. We all know his story but at the moment, he’s on a dying bed and no one knows tomorrow. In addition to the fact that he’s birthday is on the way - July 14.
His achievements as a politician, freedom fighter, family man and a human being portrays him to be one of the World’s Greatest Men and we all have been blessed with his life tale. All presidents, Philosophers, historians, humanitarians, entertainers and sportsmen adore him and gain inspiration from his history. Who hasn't?
Madiba may leave us soon but the world needs to acknowledge this legend for who he truly is. Should the world observe a special day for Madiba where we all would remember his days of glory, pain, struggles, love and happiness? South Africa is big but the world is bigger! Bet the United Nations should think about it, after all  we celebrate almost anything these days. Hollywood stars like Hilary Clinton, Morgan Freedom, Sir Richard Branson and Chelsea Clinton have already endorsed on the project. what are you waiting for?
Please note that he doesn't really need to die first before this is done and made public to the world and not just South Africa! Â For more information visit, http://www.pledge4mandeladay.org/
