Former Senate President joins presidential race

According to reports, Mark is expected to pick up his nomination forms on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

Former President of the Senate, David Mark has joined the 2019 presidential race.

This was made known to newsmen by the national coordinator of Doo2Door for David Mark, James Oche on Monday, September 3, 2018.

Oche said that the former Senate President took the decision to run after wide consultations.

He also added that Mark is in the race to save the country from collapsing, Daily Post reports.

Oche said “Yes, the last man standing has arrived. He would be picking his forms on Tuesday. It is time to save Nigeria from collapse.”

According to the report, Mark is expected to pick up his nomination forms on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

PDP presidential aspirants to sign undertaking

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that all presidential aspirants in the party must sign an undertaking.

The party said that it will also provide the aspirants with guidelines for them to known what the PDP expects of them.

Mark will be joining a list of prominent Nigerians also in the race to grab the PDP’s presidential ticket.

They include: Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso; Senator Jonah Jang; Senate President Bukola Saraki; Sokoto state Governor, Aminu Tambuwal; Gombe state Governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo; a former Minister of Special Duties and Inter Governmental Relations, Alhaji Tanimu Turaki (SAN); Former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido; a former Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa; and Dr. Ahmed Datti.
