Wizkid spotted at first public event since the loss of his mother

It's great to see him mingling and taking goofy pictures.

The starboy was present at the opening night of the private view of "Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto" at the popular Victoria &Albert museum in London, held on September 13, 2023. The exhibit highlights the work of the brand’s late iconic designer Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel.

Wizkid mingled with prestigious figures at the event taking in the art exhibits that were not yet open to the public, Chanel couture dresses, textiles, photographs and accessories were on display during this.

The singer posed for pictures at the event, sneaking in a quirky face in one of them. The pictures have warmed the hearts of his devoted fans who are happy to see their fave out in public again, and mingling.

Wizkid had been under the radar since his mother Jane Dolapo died a month ago. The news was broken by the singer's close associate on August 19, 2023, stating that she passed away in the early hours of Friday, August 18, 2023. The sad news was received with sadness and many paid tribute to her on social media.

Fellow celebrities also took time to honour her across social media and some during their performances. Davido and Burna Boy paused theirs to support Wizkid during the Afronation Fest, DJ Exclusive observed a minute of silence for the deceased during his gig at the Lagos State NYSC orientation camp concert.

Even the former Anambra State Governor and presidential aspirant Peter Obi offered his condolences to the Joy singer, via his official Twitter handle.

He said, "On behalf of the OBIdient family, I sincerely commiserate with Mr Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, (Wizkid), who reportedly lost his beloved mother. The death of a loved one is a very painful experience, more so for a beloved mother. Dear Wizkid, may God Almighty who called her home grant her eternal rest in His kingdom and grant you and your family the fortitude to bear her irreplaceable loss. God bless you always."

Now the singer is out again, to the joy of many.
