For the second time in his career Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United as a free agent.

Manchester United and Paul Pogba will end their relationship this month the Red Devils have confirmed.

The French midfielder is set to leave the club for the second time in his career when his current contract at the club expires at the end of June.

"The club can announce that Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United at the end of June, upon the expiry of his contract," Manchester United stated in a statement on their website.

Pogba, 29, rejoined Manchester United with much fanfare in the summer of 2016 for a then-record fee of £89m from Italian side Juventus.

Pogba made his senior debut for the Red Devils a season later under Sir Alex Ferguson but would leave the club in acrimonious circumstances in 2012.

After four successful years with Juventus in Turin, Pogba made a sensational return to Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho. 

A strong start to his return helped United finish the season with two cups, the League Cup and Europa League title, where he scored in the final against Ajax Amsterdam. 

His promising start following his return was quickly replaced with discontentment from fans as injuries began to blight his United career.

In the end, Pogba will depart Manchester United for the second time after over 200 appearances for the club.

"Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Paul on his successful career, and thank him for his contributions to Manchester United," the statement from the club added.
