President Tinubu's ₦47.96trn budget gets crucial backing

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors Network (RHAN) has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s proposed 2025 budget, describing it as a "bold and visionary document" poised to address Nigeria’s pressing economic challenges and promote sustainable growth.

RHAN’s Secretary General, Opialu Fabian, highlighted the president’s ambition to significantly curb inflation, targeting a reduction from 34.6% to 15% by the end of 2025.

Fabian commended the ₦4.91 trillion allocation to defence and security, underlining its importance in ensuring Nigerians' safety and stability.

Infrastructure development was another standout in the budget, with ₦4.06 trillion earmarked to enhance the movement of goods and services, lower operational costs, boost productivity, and generate employment.

“This allocation demonstrates the administration’s strategic focus on fostering economic growth,” Fabian noted.

Education and healthcare sectors also received significant attention, with ₦3.52 trillion and ₦2.48 trillion allocated, respectively.

Fabian lauded the government’s comprehensive approach, stating, “The allocation of resources to critical sectors reflects pragmatic and forward-thinking governance.”

Social welfare programs aimed at alleviating poverty and reducing inequality further underscored the president’s commitment to uplifting Nigerians.

Fabian urged citizens to support the “Budget of Restoration: Securing Peace and Rebuilding Prosperity,” emphasising collective responsibility. 

“It is through active participation in economic and social programs that we can realise this noble vision,” he added.

RHAN lauded President Tinubu’s leadership, describing the budget as a roadmap for a brighter and prosperous Nigeria.

“This budget not only addresses immediate concerns but also lays the foundation for future generations,” Fabian remarked, extending congratulations to the president for his courage and foresight.
