AS Roma were crowned winners of the 2022 Europa Conference League (ECL) on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

AS Roma recorded a 1-0 victory against Eredivisie giants Feyenoord in the final of the ECL.

The only goal of the game came in the 32nd minute when AS Roma star player Nicolo Zaniolo converted a ball through to him by Gianluca Mancini.

Roma would hold on to the lead in the second half to win the game and lift the latest title in European club football.

AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho rose to the top of the trends on social media after his side were crowned Europa Conference League champions.

Mourinho by winning in Tirana, Albania became the first manager to win the Europa Conference League, Europa League and Champions League.

After his unceremonious dismissal by Tottenham Hotspur, Mourinho had cause to celebrate.

Fans of the Portuguese tactician flooded Twitter to give their thoughts as to why Mourinho is the 'Special One.'

However, there were some fans that had the opinion Mourinho employed negative tactics to be victorious at the end.
