Judge orders seizure of ex-minister's mobile phone in court

Before Femi Fani Kayode was re-arrested by the men of EFCC, a Lagos judge has seized his phones which rang during court proceedings.

According to a report by Daily Trust, Justice Hassan ordered the seizure of Fani-Kayode's phone after the phone rang during proceedings of the trial of former Director of Media and Publicity of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign.

The ex-Aviation minister had held his phones when it rang out loud and the judge asked: "who is doing that"?

Justice Hassan reportedly ordered the court's registrar to seize the phone immediately leaving Fani-Kayode with no phones till the end of the court proceedings.

Though Fani-Kayode was re-arrested by the men of EFCC, the case was adjourned till November 14, 2016 and November 15, 2016 for continuation of trial.

The former aviation minister is currently facing trial alongside Nenadi Usman, a former finance minister over N4.9b money laundering charge.
