Buhari President sacks NAFDAC boss, 19 others

The affected officials include the chief executives of six agencies under the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture whose dismissal was announced earlier.

President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the heads of 26 government agencies and parastatals.

The affected officials include the chief executives of six agencies under the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture whose dismissal was announced earlier.

The other 20, according to a statement released by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, are:

  1. Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF)

  2. New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD)

  3. Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF)

  4. Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board(NCDMB)

  5. Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN)

  6. Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund)

  7. National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA)

  8. Petroleum Equalization Fund

  9. Nigeria Railways Corporation (NRC)

  10. Bureau of Public Procurements (BPP)

  11. Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE)

  12. Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA)

  13. Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON)

  14. National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC)

  15. Nigeria Investment Promotion Council (NIPC)

  16. Bank of Industry (BoI)

  17. National Centre for Women Development (NCWD)

  18. Industrial Training Fund (ITF)

  19. Nigerian Export-Import Bank

  20. National Agency for Prohibition of Traffic In Persons and Other Related Matters (NAPTIP)

The six whose disengagement was announced earlier are the Directors-General of NTA, Sola Omole; FRCN, Ladan Salihu; VON, Sam Worlu; NOA, Mike Omeri; NBC, Emeka Mba and the Managing Director of NAN,Ima Niboro
