Morning Teaser: How Will Describe A Man Who Beats His Wife?

On the June, 24, 2011, undefined, a jobless graduate was alleged to have murdered his wife, Titilayo, a banker with SkyeBankPlc, at their AkindeindeStreet, Isolo, LagosState, in an extreme case of domestic violence.

Though the young man who has been standing trial since then has denied severally that he did not kill her, claiming his wife stabbed herself to death, evidence gathered by the investigators all point to him being the culprit.

That incidence is just one out of many instances where men batter their wives and girlfriends, some with serious bodily injuries. The case of domestic violence is completely frowned upon by moralists, though some traditional men who believe in the dominion and authority of the men in the home believe it is right for a man to beat his wife.
