Marcy, who got married in a huge celebrity wedding last year, sat with Pulse TV for an in depth chat about her background, her husband’s proposal, career and style. Here are five facts we learned about Marcy from her interview:

  • Early start: Marcy caught the acting bug as early as the age of 10, in boarding school, after watching a play, Aspects of Love, in the UK and was amazed by the creativity and she never looked back.

  • Parental support: Initially, her parents were very much against her being an actor when she first mentioned drama school and talked about sending her packing but they later came around, only after she finished her degree in Chemistry.

  • Beauty with brains: Not only does Marcy have style and charm, she is very well educated with a degree in Chemistry, although she evidently has put that in much use lately, she says she is grateful as getting the degree was a huge victory for her.

  • Long wait: Marcy says “It took me a year after drama school to get a job.” It wasn’t very rosy for her. She also has come to Nigeria for 5 months prior to moving back finally and got no luck. Later, she moved back in 2010 and got a gig in a week.

  • Acting first: Marcy claims that acting is her first love. She stated that “acting is my heartbeat, I love it...I just enjoy it thoroughly.” She has since acted in Desperate housewives Africa and in Saro The Musical, which will be back later this year.
