Match Preview
The wait is over – the EuroLeague season is finally here! Crvena Zvezda will kick off their campaign against the powerhouse from Kaunas.
Coach Ibon Navarro is set for his official debut in front of the home crowd at Belgrade Arena.
Basketball in Belgrade is more than just a sport; it's a culture, a passion, a driving force. It's something much deeper. We're excited to see the team, the Arena, our many fans, and to feel that energy. We can't think about the long season ahead with many games or set a specific goal like a certain number of wins. We must fight every day, every minute, and strive to give our best.Ibon Navarro
Žalgiris has already played two competitive matches in the Lithuanian championship.
- They started training and working together earlier than anyone else. They've already played two official games, so they will certainly come with more rhythm than us. But we are playing at home. I believe we've done the most important things in time to be competitive. We will surely make mistakes in some details, but the most important thing is to have energy and execute the things we need to do well - Navarro stated.
The Spanish tactician will have Semi Ojeleye available for this match, while Nikola Đurišić will not be in the squad.
Thursday's game is scheduled for 8 PM CET. You can follow all the action live from Belgrade Arena with Sportal, and a direct broadcast of the match is available on Arenasport 1 Premium.
