The extent of James' injury is still unknown, but the initial signs look concerning. The EuroLeague's all-time leading scorer immediately grabbed his Achilles tendon after going down and had to be stretchered off the floor.

After the game, Crvena Zvezda sent him a message of support via social media.

The entire club, players, coaching staff, management, and the whole red-and-white family stand with Mike James in this difficult moment. We wish you a speedy recovery. Stay strong, and we hope to see you back where you belong soon — on the court. KK Crvena Zvezda

How James suffered the injury

Following a miss by Ojeleye, Mike James landed awkwardly on the hardwood and immediately clutched his leg. It was instantly clear that it was a serious injury.

By all accounts, he suffered an Achilles tendon injury, and the EuroLeague's all-time leading scorer left the Arena on a stretcher.
