"It feels great, man! The fans here are incredible, they offer tremendous support and are very passionate about basketball. That's what I missed. I had that when I was at Fenerbahçe, that boost from the fans... I'm excited to have that extra push again in the EuroLeague." - Jonathan Motley
He couldn't experience that with Hapoel.
"Because we had to play in many different places due to the Israeli conflict, a lot was happening. We had to play in Sofia, mostly in empty arenas... So I definitely missed that true EuroLeague atmosphere." - Jonathan Motley

Chris Jones and he arrived as a "package deal" from Hapoel, and his presence means a lot to Motley.
"It's huge! Chris and I played together for most of our time at Hapoel, so I guarantee that 60 to 70 percent of my points came directly from Chris Jones and his assists. Having that kind of connection with someone in a new place is very comforting, and I'm glad he's here because he was extremely important to me last year. We have really great chemistry." - Jonathan Motley
He also spoke about Ibon Navarro, emphasizing his appreciation for the coach's system.
"I like his system. I think it will take us a little time to get used to it, which we're still trying to figure out; we're practically still getting to know each other and building chemistry. He likes a very, very fast-paced, high-tempo game, and I think that will help us and surprise many teams with how we run. Of course, it's also an adjustment because you have to make quick decisions when you're tired, but I think we'll improve. We had some issues with that in the preseason and a lot of turnovers, but that comes with learning the system, and it's fortunate that it's happening in preseason games." - Jonathan Motley
He has only one goal in mind.

"Honestly, I don't have any personal goals. I just want the team to be successful. Zvezda hasn't made the playoffs in a while, and I've never missed the EuroLeague playoffs. So my number one goal is to get this team into the playoffs by any means necessary, and I think that would be a success." - Jonathan Motley
