Zeno Debast Dropped, Not Even on Belgium's Bench

He's out. Zeno Debast will miss tonight's match against Spain. The Belgian international, who plays for the Lions, was at the center of a medical dispute regarding his availability. Following a re-evaluation involving all parties, as reported yesterday by A BOLA, it was concluded that he was not in optimal condition to be an option for coach Rui Garcia.

Debast was ultimately released from the squad and will not even be on the bench for the game against Spain. The defender, it's worth remembering, sustained a muscle injury in May. This issue didn't prevent him from being selected for Belgium's World Cup squad, with the belief that he could be an option in the later stages of the tournament. However, that has not materialized, as there was no consensus among the parties for his participation.
