Chocolate City singer talks on his new deal, creative talent
Mr Marley on deck Yung L speaks on his signing up with Chocolate City Music and Choc Boi Nation.
Speaking with The Beat FM, Yung L talks about being friends with the label and its artists MI, Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince since day one, and how he declined signing with Chocolate City initially due to sign up fees differences and creative freedom differences.
On whether he is actually happy with the deal now after all these years, the singer says “Yes I’m happy with the deal.”
He reveals he is creative director as well, which means he will be responsible for much of the creative input of himself and the label.
He says he will be sticking to the dancehall and reggae genre and ain’t going nowhere with that.
On what inspires his style, Yung L says it is God-given, as he styles his own video shoot, his own clothing and more.
“I think it’s God-given because I have never been a stylist, I style my own videos, my photo shoot, hardly do i use a stylist because they don’t get what I want, I just end up sourcing out and doing it myself, so yes it’s God-given.” Yung L explains.
The singer just dropped the video for latest single 'Cheers'.
