'He is my inspiration' singer remembers late dad

The 'Mama Africa' who revealed her dad passed on one year ago took to Instagram to share a lovely throwback of herself and her dad with the caption, "Happy birthday Papa #daddy'sLittleGirl # we miss you #imissyou #heavenNeededYouMore #papaafrica #mamaafrica #myinspiration #April22nd #continueToRestPapa #oneYearAlready."

Yemi Alade came to become a star after emerging as the winner of the 2009Peak Talent Show.

Her album, "Mama Africa" is also doing well. In March 2016, the album became the most pre-ordered African album on iTunes.
