Chicago Bulls forward Guerschon Yabusele has confirmed his commitment to play for the French national team in the upcoming 2027 World Cup qualifiers this summer.
The forward told L'Equipe that he is "committed to being there" and hopes "everyone will be available," emphasizing that the French squad needs to regroup after their disappointing exit from the last EuroBasket, where they were eliminated by Georgia in the Round of 16.
"After what happened last summer, it's important for us all to stick together," added Guerschon Yabusele, who captained the national team during EuroBasket 2025.
However, France might face some absences, as Anadolu Efes center Vincent Poirier revealed that his availability is still uncertain due to his health.
"My priority remains my health, because the season is long. I am fully focused on treating my knee, especially this summer. If I return in good shape and get called up, I will go. For now, I have no specific plans or ambitions. The main thing is to feel better," he explained.
