The opening frame ended level at 31-31, but Charlotte took charge in the second quarter to outscore Miami 35-27.

The decisive stretch came in the third quarter, where the Hornets dominated by 13 points (30-17), effectively putting the game out of reach and denying Miami their first win of the campaign.

Although Nikola Jović's side took the final period 35-19, Charlotte's lead proved insurmountable.

The Serbian international spent just six minutes on the court, going scoreless while grabbing only two rebounds. Jović is still searching for his rhythm, and his limited playing time reflects that struggle. Davion Mitchell led the Heat in scoring with 22 points.

Brandon Miller was the standout performer for the winning side, racking up a game-high 34 points in 35 minutes.
