The World Economic Forum on Africa 2016 is set to hold in Kigali, Rwanda from 11 to 13 May 2016.

The theme for the 26th World Economic Forum on Africa is 'Connecting Africa’s Resources through Digital Transformation

The host country, Rwanda, has obviously come a long way, one of recovery and rebuild since the 1994 mass genocide that cost the lives of over a million people.

There’s no better way for Rwanda to shine, proving to the world that in a little over two decades, she can rise from the ashes of such devastating carnage than for her to host the 2016 WEF on Africa.

These are three of the six co-chairs of the event. You might want to look out for their addresses.

Akinwumi Ayodeji Adesina.  Adesina is the President of African Development Bank (AfDB). He is also an agricultural economist who specializes in African agriculture. He is a former President of the African Association of Agricultural Economists anda member of the Board of International Association of Agricultural Economists.

Tony O. Elumelu. Elumelu, a serial entrepreneur is the founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation. He has created numerous job opportunities across crucial sectors in Africa. Elemelu is the chairman of TranscorpPlc, Nigeria’s largest listed conglomerate as well as chairman of UBA Group.

Graca Machel is the founder of Foundation for Community Development (FDC). She is is political and social activist as well as a child and women’s rights advocate. She chairs the Board of African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes; she is also the Chancellor of University of Cape Town.
