One of the sessions that have remained on a lot of people’s minds from the World Economic Forum on Africa 2015 is the session, ‘The Future of Technology’.

The speakers on the session were Grace Naledi Mandisa Pandor, Achankeng Leke, Solomon Assefa, Njideka Harry and Bruce Whitfield. It was a very interesting session but quite arguably, the most remarkable part is where Njideka Harry, the President and Chief Executive Officer, Youth for Technology Foundation (YTF) said "If Nigerian women had the same opportunity as men, they would drive the GDP up by about $13.9 billion"

This session is not even about gender parity as there were separate sessions that dealt with Economic Equality and Gender Parity. However, Harry makes us the potential Nigerian women have and the power they could have over the economy.

The intensity of the conversations during the last World Economic Forum on Africa is enough to keep us excited and filled with anticipation for the 2016 edition.
