Harvard to post video of Nobel Laureate’s actual speech
The Harvard University Hutchins Centre for African and American Research in the United States is set to post the video of a lecture delivered by Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka following allegations that he made anti-Igbo comments while delivering it.
The eminent playwright has since denied the reports saying that anyone who believes them is a moron.
The Hutchins Centre, in an email to Punch, stated that it would post the video of Soyinka’s lecture, titled “Predicting Nigeria, Electoral Ironies” within a week.
“We expect the recent Wole Soyinka talk to be posted via video on the Hutchins Centre website within a week. However, transcripts of the talk will not be provided. Thank you for contacting the Hutchins Centre,” the email read.
Meanwhile, the management of The Cable has tendered an apology to Soyinka over the article.
