Star to headline Gambia’s 50th Independence celebration

Nigerian star singer, Wizkid will be the top performing act at the celebration of Gambia’s 50 Independence anniversary.

Gambia, a country in West Africa gained independence from the United Kingdom in February, 1965, and this year, a huge concert to commemorate their  event has been planned at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Wizkid has gone on to confirm his performance in the country on Instagram saying with a picture of the event and the caption: "My Gambia people! I’m coming to celebrate with u guys!!! Date confirmed! See y’all soon! #StarBoy."
