Alejandro Garnacho was notably absent from Chelsea's pre-season training camp as he reportedly pushes for a move away from Stamford Bridge. The 22-year-old Argentine winger is seeking a new club where he can secure more consistent first-team football.

Chelsea, for their part, are open to negotiating the player's departure but only on a permanent basis, ruling out any loan deals. According to sources close to the club, the asking price for a transfer has been set at €50 million. There's optimism that a resolution could be reached within the next two weeks, prior to the team's departure for their Australian tour, scheduled for July 25th.

The London club has reportedly already received expressions of interest from Premier League teams, other European leagues, and clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Signed last summer from Manchester United for £40 million, Garnacho's debut season at Chelsea fell short of expectations. The Argentine international started only 22 games across all competitions, with just 14 of those in the Premier League. Despite contributing eight goals and four assists, he struggled to cement a regular spot in the starting XI.

With new manager Xabi Alonso commencing work last Thursday, Garnacho was granted permission to be absent while his future is decided. A product of Atlético Madrid's academy, the winger scored 26 goals in 144 appearances for Manchester United before his move to London. He also boasts eight caps for Argentina.
