Today, the esteemed Wall Street Journal reported that US President Donald Trump has rejected Iran's ceasefire proposal and is planning new airstrikes for mid-November.

These new strikes are scheduled immediately after the US Senate's midterm elections, though the election results themselves could potentially alter Trump's strategy.

Formula 1, however, cannot afford to wait for the US midterm elections, as a decision regarding the final two race weekends must be made by October 16th. The fate of the last two rounds of the Formula 2 season, where Nikola Tsolov is contending for the title, also hinges on Formula 1's decision concerning Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
