The former 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air' star took to his Facebook on April 22 revealing just how sad he was when he heard the sad news of the death of the iconic artist.
"I am stunned and heartbroken. I just spoke with him last night," Smith wrote.
"Today, & I mourn with all of you the loss of a beautiful poet, a true inspiration and one of the most magnificent artists to ever grace this earth."
Will has been joined by other celebrities including Madonna, Chaka Khan, Beyonce, Quincy Jones, Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake and many others paying tribute to the pop icon.
As we previously reported, Prince's publicist confirmed that the 'Sometimes it snows in April' singer was found dead at his home and studio complex in Paisley Park, Minnesota. He was 57.
Latest reportsclaim he suffered an overdose days to his death but there's still no cause of death.
