"We'll Meet Alone!" Heavy Accusations Against Dusan Alimpijevic: Turkish Journalist Claims Serbian Coach Threatened Him

Besiktas head coach Dusan Alimpijevic has been hit with serious allegations following the EuroLeague clash against Olympiacos, with a Turkish journalist publicly accusing him of aggressive behaviour, profanities, and direct threats after the post-match press conference.

The reporter shared a detailed breakdown of the incident on social media platform X. According to his account, Alimpijevic approached him following the post-match press conference, asking if he spoke English, before the pair stopped near the press room exit. The journalist claimed the Serbian coach used English profanities during the confrontation, noting that while he could not confirm whether the swearing was directly targeted at him or simply an outburst of frustration, he felt personally intimidated at the time.

The flashpoint reportedly stemmed from the reporter's recent posts regarding Besiktas center Ante Zizic. Alimpijevic allegedly pointed toward the locker room and demanded that the journalist repeat his remarks to the player's face. The reporter declined, claiming he had to catch public transport, while the Serbian tactician made it clear he viewed the online posts as deliberate provocation rather than constructive criticism.

The most serious accusations surround the end of the altercation, where Alimpijevic allegedly wagged his finger and warned the journalist that the two would meet alone where no one else was around. Between 15 and 20 journalists and club staff members reportedly witnessed the altercation.

The reporter also suspected that members of the coaching staff have been monitoring social media and feeding posts back to Alimpijevic, exacerbating tensions with the media. While emphasizing his support for Besiktas and openness to constructive dialogue, he insisted that verbal abuse and intimidation cross the line of professional coach-media relations.

A formal written complaint to the club's board is set to be filed over the incident, with neither Besiktas management nor Dusan Alimpijevic having released an official statement so far.
