Warriors Rookie on Luka Doncic Clash: "I'm Not Afraid to Talk to Anyone, He's Not Michael Jordan"

Golden State Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg has shared the reactions he received following his verbal altercation with LA Lakers guard Luka Doncic.

"I heard comments like, 'You shouldn't talk to him like that' and stuff like that. Come on. He can say whatever he wants, and I'm going to say whatever I want. I'm not afraid to trade words with anyone—at the end of the day, he's not Michael Jordan. I feel like in the media I might've taken it a bit too far, but what's done is done," the forward said with a smile.

Lendeborg also reflected on his matchup with Grizzlies forward Cameron Boozer during the Warriors' 111-108 defeat.

"I always aim to have a strong game regardless of the opponent. Today, however, I didn't manage to do that," admitted the No. 11 overall draft pick, who nonetheless posted 18 points and 13 rebounds.
