The report indicates that the offer came from the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Wolves were prepared to offer Vezenkov a significant role on their roster, but his response was negative.

"Vezenkov appears completely content with Olympiacos and has shown no desire to reopen the door to the NBA," the publication noted.

Aleksandar Vezenkov was part of the Sacramento Kings squad during the 2023/2024 season. However, the Bulgarian ace did not receive sufficient playing time on the court and was unable to fully showcase his potential.

Consequently, Vezenkov returned to Olympiacos, where he had previously played from 2018 to 2023. This move proved to be incredibly successful, as at the end of the 2025/2026 season, Sasha realized his long-held dream. He won the EuroLeague title – a trophy that had eluded him in recent years. The championship was secured after the Bulgarian and his teammates triumphed over Real Madrid with a 92:85 victory.
