Valencia's new interim coach, Óscar Sánchez, has stated his primary goal is to restore confidence within the squad.
Sánchez began the season coaching Valencia's B-team but was urgently called upon to replace Carlos Corberán, who was sacked after four losses in the opening five rounds.
"When you're on a losing streak, the emotional challenge far outweighs the tactical or technical aspects. We have a good team with talented players who are eager to turn things around. They possess enough skill and have navigated similar situations in the past," Sánchez commented.
His debut as head coach will be on Tuesday when Valencia travels to face Alavés. "The players are hungry, and I'm confident they will perform well tomorrow," Sánchez added.
Valencia currently sits at the bottom of the Spanish league in 20th place with just 1 point, while Alavés occupies 3rd position with 10 points.
