US Nurse Discharged From Hospital After Testing Ebola-Free

The second US health worker who contracted the Ebola Virus Disease while treating an infected Liberian has tested negative for the disease and has been released from hospital.

Amber Vinson was part of the medical team at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital that attended to index patient, Thomas Duncan and she fell ill after his death from the disease.

She received treatment at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and was the fourth person to be successfully treated for Ebola in the facility.

She said in celebration of her negative status:

"I sincerely believe that with God all things are possible." She also thanked her family and friends for helping in her recovery.

Nurse Nina Pham was the first US health worker to catch the disease and she has also made a full recovery.
