Ribadu’s Brother Escaped From Kidnappers

Family sources have said that Sani Ribadu was able to elude his abductors at about 2a.m. on Friday, November 14 and he arrived at his home in Yola at about 6:03 a.m.

The previously abducted brother of the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Nuhu Ribadu escaped from his kidnappers and was not released as earlier reported.

Family sources have said that Sani Ribadu was able to elude his abductors at about 2a.m. on Friday, November 14 and he arrived at his home in Yola at about 6:03 a.m.

Another Ribadu brother, Arabi told Premium Times that Sani escaped “around 2a.m. in the bushes surrounding Girei Local Government where they kept him”.

He added that Sani then walked to Sangere, a nearby village, where he observed his morning prayers before commuting via public transport to his home in the state capital.

Reports of his release are yet to be confirmed by the police in the state.
