The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has parted ways with two fighters: long-time bantamweight contender Pedro Munhoz and recent signee Shem Rock. The news was confirmed to www.mmafighting.com.
Munhoz concludes his 12-year UFC career, during which he competed in an impressive 22 bouts. Inside the Octagon, he faced elite fighters such as Sean O'Malley, Aljamain Sterling, Jose Aldo, and Dominick Cruz. Earlier this month, Munhoz himself requested his release via a social media post. He leaves the organization on a three-fight losing streak, with his last defeat coming against Aiemann Zahabi at UFC Edmonton in November.
Shem Rock joined the UFC in 2025 after a strong showing in OKTAGON MMA. However, the 32-year-old fighter lost both of his bouts in the organization by unanimous decision – first against Nurullo Aliev, and then against Abdul El Seoudi at UFC London in March.
