Rafael Fiziev will headline the upcoming UFC Fight Night event in Baku on June 27th against rising talent Manuel Torres, the promotion announced on Tuesday. This event marks the UFC's second visit to Azerbaijan, scheduled to take place at the National Gymnastics Arena. The first show was headlined by Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr. at the Baku Crystal Hall in June 2025.

Fiziev (13-5) is under pressure, having suffered a knockout loss to Mauricio Ruffi in January. This marked his fourth defeat in his last five bouts. Fiziev's sole victory since 2023 came via a decision win over Ignacio Bahamondes in 2025, which snapped a three-fight losing streak against Justin Gaethje (twice) and Mateusz Gamrot.

Torres (17-3) has won five of his six fights since joining the UFC in 2021 through Dana White’s Contender Series. He boasts a 100% finish rate, with all his victories coming by first-round knockout against Frank Camacho, Nicolas Motta, Chris Duncan, Drew Dober, and Grant Dawson.

The Mexican talent, who has earned a bonus for every one of his UFC wins, has only one loss in the past six years. That defeat came via a first-round knockout against Bahamondes during a UFC event in September 2024.

The UFC also officially confirmed the previously announced middleweight clash between Shara Magomedov and Michel Pereira, which will be part of the same fight card.
