Speaking after the contest, Piraeus head coach Georgios Bartzokas addressed the press and touched upon former Partizan center Tyrique Jones.

Reporters were keen to know whether Jones would be leaving the club, but Bartzokas firmly shut down the rumors.

"Has that really been discussed? Did reporters actually publish that? That is completely untrue! Everyone must understand that we play 90 games over the course of the season, and we have a deep, talented roster. If you recall the final against Real Madrid, Jones played the entire fourth quarter and stepped up. You don't need big minutes to make history here—even 10 minutes on the floor is enough, as long as the team wins. That is all that matters in the end." - Georgios Bartzokas

Jones wrapped up the game against his former team with 11 points and six rebounds, bringing his season averages to 7.5 points and 3.5 boards per contest.
