Truck rams into building after being pursued by LASTMA officials

The Mile 2 office of the Nigeria Customs Service was destroyed after a truck rammed into the building. LASTMA officials were allegedly trying to gain control of the truck when it went off track.

A heavy duty truck on Wednesday, January 14, rammed into the Mile 2 office of the Nigeria Customs Service after the driver allegedly tussled with LASTMA officials.

Reports say that the trailer driver refused to cooperate with LASTMA officials which led to a struggle by the officials to gain control of the steering of the truck. It was during the tussle with the LASTMA officials that the truck went off its track and rammed into the office building of the Nigeria Customs Service in Mile 2.

According to the reports, no lives were lost during the accident but several properties of the Nigeria Customs Service were destroyed.
