Constitutional court annuls law closing schools linked to US

The court, whose decision to overturn a ban on Twitter has angered Erdogan last year, said the law has violated the free execution of education, Turkey's Hurriyet Newspaper reported.

Gulen's Hizmet movement, whose followers put their numbers in millions worldwide and Erdogan used to be allies, joining forces to tame a once powerful military that has toppled several governments over the past five decades.

But years of bitter power struggle was exposed in late 2013, when Erdogan blamed Gulen for orchestrating a graft scandal and sought to strip away the influence of what he called a 'parallel state', the influence of Gulen and his followers within the judiciary and police.
