Dance festival set to kick off at Freedom Park

The festival which is packaged bi-annually by Ijodee Dance Centre founded and run by Dayo Liadi will kick off at the Freedom Park, Lagos and last for a week.

International dance festival, TRUFESTA is set to kick off come Thursday, October 29th.

The festival which is packaged bi-annually by Ijodee Dance Centre founded and run by Dayo Liadi will kick off at the Freedom Park, Lagos and last for a week.

Expected at the festival are participants from  India, Hungary, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Nigeria.

Rita Batarita, Ayoola Akinbile, Wajo Dance Show, Qudus and Segun Adefila are just some of the guests expected at the festival.

Festival organiser, Dayo Liadi while addressing the press  revealed that the second show titled danz jamz will happen at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos after which it will move to Goethe Institute Lagos, the British Council and finally to the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos.

He added that the central focus this year is on children who will be learning on time the essence of theatre and dance.

Festival organiser, Dayo Liadi is an internationally acclaimed dancer, choreographer, music teacher and instructor.
