Tristan's 17 Points in Vain as Philadelphia Racks Up 153, Paul George Explodes Without Embiid /VIDEO/

The Philadelphia 76ers taught the Washington Wizards a lesson, defeating them on the road 153-131. Despite the Sixers playing without their star Joel Embiid, who missed the game due to illness, they hit triple digits well before the final buzzer, with the unstoppable Paul George leading the charge. Tristan Vukčević scored 17 points in just 11 minutes for the Wizards.

It was a night where Paul George reminded the entire basketball world why he's one of the league's premier scorers. He dropped a season-high 39 points (15/22 from the field, 6/12 from three), adding six assists and five rebounds.

This was only PG's fourth game back after serving a 25-game suspension for violating the NBA's anti-doping rules. It seems the break has only fueled his scoring prowess.

Paul George wasn't alone in his stellar performance: Tyrese Maxey continued to terrorize defenses after his finger injury, contributing 28 points, while rookie V.J. Edgecombe showcased a glimpse of the future with 23 points and 10 assists.

At one point, Philadelphia looked like they were playing against a junior varsity squad. The Sixers' starting five shot an incredible 69.2% from the field, and the third quarter was pure basketball poetry – they poured in an astounding 47 points in that period!

On the other hand, Washington hit rock bottom. Literally. The loss left them alone at the very bottom of the NBA standings, with a painful record — they've lost four in a row and 20 of their last 21 games.

Even a career-high 21 points from Anthony Gill couldn't help the home team, nor could Tristan Vukčević's brilliant performance, as he scored 17 points in just 11 minutes on the court. He shot 6/7 from the field, including a perfect 3/3 from beyond the arc, adding two rebounds, two assists, and a steal.

With this victory, the Sixers climbed to sixth place in the Eastern Conference. They are tied with Toronto (42-34) but hold the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Interestingly, this marks the second time in the last seven days that Philadelphia has scored over 150 points, having previously demolished Chicago 157-137 last Wednesday.

Philadelphia faces a tough test at home against Minnesota on Friday night, while Washington travels to Miami on Saturday, hoping to snap their losing streak.
